József Mács (Bátka, 1931 - Bratislava, 2017) is a writer, publicist, editor and translator. He is a late member of MMA. The first volume after the change of regime of the Chalkboard Reaching the Sky (1993), in which the relationship between a grandchild born in a mixed marriage who no longer speaks Hungarian and his grandfather is presented, while presenting the life of a village in Gemer.
