The 12-13. In the 19th century, the Qin and Chinese Sung empires are at war. Rampant Heaven Kuo and Iron-Hearted Jang are adopted brothers and heartily hate the Northern Juric invaders. Their women are expecting a child, and the men swear that their children will be together for life. During a fight with government men, Kuo the Rampant is killed and Jang the Ironheart disappears. Kuo's son, Kuo Ching, goes to Mongolia, where he grows up under the protective wings of Genghis Khan. He will be an excellent archer who once shoots two eagles with one arrow - thus his name will be Eagle Archer. He wants to avenge his father and free his country from the yoke of the Qin Empire. Jang Kang becomes a soldier and then a traitor to the Sung Empire. The two boys, who were meant to be brothers by their parents, find themselves facing each other. The legend of the Sasíjász, the "Chinese Lord of the Rings", has been read by more than 300 million people worldwide, and numerous movies and TV series have been made from the series of novels. Chin Jung (Louis Cha) (1924-2018) was the most popular author of Chinese Wuxia (martial arts fantasy) literature and the most famous writer in Hong Kong. He started his career as a journalist, later became a screenwriter and co-founder and editor-in-chief of a Hong Kong daily newspaper. Between 1955 and 1972, he wrote fifteen Wuxia novels, which were hugely successful throughout China, and all of them were made into films. The British and French governments honored him for his life's work, and he was accepted as an honorary professor at many universities for his high-level literary work.
